iam currently incubating eggs and if everything goes well I should have baby chicks by the end of this month!
I raise my own veges, have aquaponic system that my hubby dabbles in and i have a Thorughbred gelding . a lab 2 chihuahuas and a cat!
we reside in Florida im 47 years old i have two daughters and 1 granddaughter and a grandson on the way!
I do have a question: if my hen is a red star and the rooster is americana what will the chick be?

Hi, Julie!

Sounds like you have your hands full!
I've always wanted to try an aquaponic system, but never got around to it.
Your starXam chick will hopefully be a hen to lay some nice colored eggs for you.
Good luck in your upcoming hatch!!
And DO post pics!!!

!!!! I have no idea what that red star/americauna will look like... it would deffiantly be a mixed breed! It would either look like the americauna or the red star! Or a little bit of both but i'm just guesiing. If you want to know what the breed eill be well...... it will be a mixed breed half americauna and half red star you could make up your own name for the breed!
