Well, let's see...we have 25 Bonnie's Heavy Red meat chickens, this is our second year with meat chickens the first year was with the White Rock and I found them to be really poor birds unhealthy and weak, this years flock though is very sturdy and healthy! We also have 9 laying chickens from last year which are Rhode Island Reds and this years laying flock are Black Sex Link....lovely birds.

Black Sex Links are my personal favorites as they are very friendly and hardy, egg laying machines. I raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds and hybrids), and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 large brown eggs per hen per year. You should get loads of eggs from those girls. )
