Recently acquired 6 chickens, turns out one is a rooster. Unfortunately, we're not allowed to have a rooster in our town and I've been desperately trying to find a good home for him. I live in the western suburbs of Chicago, and would appreciate any recommendations.

Roosters are difficult to rehome wherever you live. Just a glut of them on the market and most folks cannot keep one.

Those are all good suggestions. It sure can be difficult finding a good home for a rooster, but I wish you the best of luck!
