it's great isn't it! Now I need to get facts together and keep an eye out for stuff that I will recycle into a chicken coop:)

I just found out we have a rooster among us! I cracked my egg and saw the ring in the yolk! I thought we had all chickens as none of them crow, or are aggressive at all. It goes to show, I have a lot of learning to do.

Interesting! Yeah I'm still learning that stuff also. Not sure what all I have going on here yet but I'm planning to keep my roosters separate so they don't fight. Except 1 with each set of a couple hens so Can hatch eggs. Eventually. .... but I only have a couple birds total so I'm trying to slowly add on. With all the beautiful tame re homing birds were closer. Well not all but at least some to gradually add in. My children love playing and holding the animals we have:)
 
Don't know if this the best place to post but I have a question.coops should have lots of ventilation. So what about in the winter? Just open up during the day or keep permanent ventilation? Trying to plan my coops.
