New here, name is bishop. About to own 18 acres and going to start my first chicken coop with about 2 to start off with. And beginner 101 tips? Thanks

Nice to meet you Bishop. I recommend the Learning Center - it's the best place to start a chicken education. Then I would suggest you check out the coops section for must haves (roosts, nesting boxes, etc.) and the predator threads to help avoid catastrophes.

You may want to post on your state thread and ask others what breeds do best in your climate, what type of coop they recommend if you have weather extremes, etc. Just put state name in search box and it will come up.
