I am new to owning chickens. We bought a farm two months ago and 12 chickens came with it. My daughter instantly fell in love. Yesterday we got 18 one day old chicks. I have a few questions about my older chickens and my new chicks. I'm not sure what breed any of our chickens or chicks are (one of the new chicks is a Barred Plymouth Rock Rooster. We specifically ordered him)
Here are some pics of older chickens and my new chicks.

Welcome to BYC. You can post photos of your older birds (and young chicks at 6-8 weeks of age ) at "what breed or gender is this."

Greetings from Kansas and :welcome. Great to have you with us! So cool that you are involving your daughter with the chickens...lots of great lessons to be learned! Speaking of learning, the Learning Center is chock full of great articles covering almost every aspect of chicken rearing. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Chickens and children go together like peanut butter and jelly. I'm so glad you're daughter is enjoying them as much as she is.

Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.

Wow! Quite the assortment of breeds there. Not sure about that box of chicks, but a lot of your older birds appear to be Brown Leghorns.
