I've been lurking now for quite some time, but thought I would finally bite the bullet, quit being scared and say hello (Crazy social anxiety). I'm new to the whole chicken thing, but have had really good help from friends and lurking around here. I recently had a sizzle that turned out to be a roo, lost him to the no crow collar. But I currently have a silkie and a bantam cochin being raised as indoor pets and they've been a blessing. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and become a presence, get to know some people! Here's a couple pictures of my babies. No idea the gender of the silkie yet, but I know it's always a wait and see with them and I think it's too soon to tell, though my intuition is telling me roo.

Thank you! The cochin has completely imprinted on my 10 year old daughter, she can't get enough of her. The silkie is super feisty, which is new for me since the other silkies I've known have been so docile.

:welcome

Thanks for joining us! I'm sorry about the loss of your roo, that's always a tough thing to have happen.

It's nice to have you here!

It took me many years to get over my social phobias. I lurked on BYC for 8 mos. before joining because I didn't know how to do things with the computer. One thing for sure, others I know here with social phobias, come out of their shell when they meet people here and not in person.

Check out my message total to see the results.
