Hello my name is Kelly! I live in South Georgia. I am fairly new to chickens (I have goats , horses, cats, poodles, dogs, a potbellied pig, & bearded dragons). I started out with Ozzy & Harriet my seramas, I've had them about a year. This year came Hudson, a chick that was dropped off at the vet's office I work at (I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician). A Good Samaritan brought him in because her husband was a lineman and Hudson was in the middle of nowhere following these linemen around. They thought he was a baby buzzard ( you should of seen the look on her face, when I told her it was a baby chicken ). Needless to say he came home with me and now he's a bratty house chicken that can take his diaper off in a matter of seconds. Just this past weekend I brought home 3 silkies, another serama Roo, & a porcelain D'uccle. I am now obsessed with the D'uccle! He's the sweetest bird ever!!!!! So I need more of them!!! I hope to learn and grow as a chicken lover and mom!!!

Nice to meet you Kelly, Welcome to Backyard chickens. I have a hunch, you have many stories to tell of your rescues, etc. Maybe you could start a thread at "Stories and pictures of my chickens," etc. I know I would want to read them
