Red Dirt Chick
In the Brooder
I'm from a small town in Oklahoma and recently started raising chickens, ducks, and guinea. My husband's family and mine had chickens when we were growing up. We have a very diverse flock . We have leghorns, New Hampshire red, cochin, a bunch of silkie crosses, and some Wyandotte crosses. Our ducks came from Atwoods Farm Store as did our guinea fowl.
We live in the middle of 80 acres surrounded by trees and no neighbors. There are currently 17 chicken, 4 ducks , 2 guinea fowl, 2 guinea pigs, 1 dwarf hampster, 5 fish, 1 crab, 1 cat, 2 dogs, 2 adults (my hubby and I), and our 3 human kids! See why we need 80 acres? Oops forgot the 2 rabbits!
