hi!! I'm courtney, mum to 3 hens. 2 Rhode Island's, Brandy & Bazel, and a Plymouth Rock, Fifi.
When I started my chicken raising 3 months ago, I had 4 chickens but unfortunately we lost 3, and Fifi is the one original left.
Grew up owning chooks so thought it was about time I got my own.
Built my own coop out of an old swing set and dog kennel.
I own a Great Dane cross dog so she is learning to get along with her new yard mates.
Currently getting eggs every few days and slowly becoming larger!

This was our first attempt, and I must say I think we did alright! We have since raised the dog kennel off the ground as the hens got closer to laying.

Oh that's awesome!!! I love it! Do they get out to free range during the day?

We've built a roaming yard for them to be in during the day, and when there is somebody home they go out in the yard. There is no front yard fence so we have to be careful about that! And my dog still isn't extremely friendly with her chicken friends
