My name is Pyrite and I have 15
1 week old Chicks. I came to this forum to seek advice on owning my first flock. We had chickens a while ago but these will be the first that I am going to take care of myself.

Here is a picture of my Chicks. They are a mixture of: Rhode Island Reds, Black Laced Golden Wyandottes, Barred Rocks, Cuckoo Marans, and Silkies.

Hello and :welcome There’s so many helpful, knowledgeable folks here and I’m sure you’ll find this site a very useful resource. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all do.

I notice you are using newspaper in your brooder. You might do better to use kitchen paper as the chicks are less likely to slip and suffer leg problems :thumbsup

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes!

Thanks! I did not know that newspaper could do that. I'll be looking into an alternative.
