Hello, I started of with 8 chicken eggs, then my daughter surprise gifted me with 8 duck eggs. I have a magicfly incubator, none of the chicks made it, and right now have only 3 of the duck eggs left. Hopefully these little guys will hatch, on day 30 and I have one that pipped only, one has a airsac with shadowing movement and the last one, it’s airsac looks as if it got bigger. Hopefully they are all safe and will continue their hatching

Welcome to Backyard Chickens! Glad you joined the flock! BYC is a very informative and fun site for people who love chickens, ducks, turkey, quail, etc.. Never hatched duck eggs before! Is it the same as chicken eggs? I do know ducks take longer to hatch than chickens.

Yes I believe your right, they do take longer, I’m pretty excited and can’t wait for the hatch, I keep checking every hour, I’m not gettin* much sleep lol
