(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new with chickens! I've always thought they were amazing though, got my first chicken about over a month ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Sadly only one, but will get more in the near future!

(3) What breeds do you have?
I am unsure of what breed my chicken is.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I've been trying to look for good information and tips for chicken owning! I couldn't find a better site than here.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I'm a lover of music and animals.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live in a small mountain area, away from the nearby town. I have four cats and my chicken Hazel! I work for a store my farm family owns in town.

There are so many knowledgeable members willing to answer any/all questions...each member has their area of expertise as you will see. I learn something new everyday and am sure u will enjoy BYC as much as the rest of the flock!

I'm hoping some breeds like Hazel! I've gotten many ideas of what Hazel is, such as welsummer, maran, and brown leghorn. It's hard because Hazel was born out of chick season!
