Things you wish you could say

Main one I can think of offhand is he likes mash potatos but only the instant ones out of a box, he hates homemade

Is it the smoothness?
When I was a kid, homemade was synonymous with lumpy, especially at others houses / potlucks, where it often included skins too 🤮

But then one Christmas Eve we dined with the family of moms work friend.
They had the most amaaaazing mashed potatoes. We were awed. They were kind enough to reveal their secret.

Recipe for 2:
1. Peel 2 Large Idaho potatoes
2. Cut into 1 inch cubes
3. Boil approx 15 mins, or until stabbing them with a fork feels soft like stabbing a Marshmallow (but not falling apart).
4. Lots of Mashing with the potato masher. It should be easier from cooking the potatoes more (and they taste better with more cooking, which most people don't seem to know about potatoes, especially baked potatoes).
5. Measure 1/4 cup Cream Cheese and a small dollop of real Butter (high butterfat). Microwave for 20 seconds or so until it's softened.
Mix thoroughly into the potatoes.
6. Fluff with Fork
7. Don't add salt, it covers the nutty nuances of a thoroughly cooked potato from Idaho.
8. Don't let packaged potato eaters have any, unless they swear fealty.

This is my recipe, I was thoroughly insulted when I first met my husband and he thought instant mashed potatoes were better than real.
True fact: The first ever meal i made my husband was lemon pepper turkey breast with homemade mashed potatoes and cheese garlic bread. He was delighted by the mashed potatoes, and when he found out I did it with a fork and knife since I didnt have a masher, he decided to marry me. 😅

She's not using me as a toy, but actually angry that I dare move things around. Or that her friend Fluffy dares to be anywhere.
She's always been an atypical cat, very sweet.
My mind went to medical issues first, but she doesn't have any other symptoms. The vets charge a LOT for unspecific testing, so if it was medical I would need to narrow it down beforehand.

I'm wondering if it could just be a dominance thing. Maybe she's gotten spoiled? I dunno.

But she doesn't stay enthusiastic about toys. She wants to go outside and catch the birds around the bird feeder. And she gets mad when she sees me out the window without her.
I tried to harness train her so we could go for walks, but she continued to act ridiculous (immobile) each time I let her flop around the floor with the harness on.
Have you tried just leaving it on her for a day or two? That often helps alot. Also, feel her belly for hard lumps, its a common thing that could be bothering her. Ranging from Constipation to bowel obstruction to liver disease, you can rule out alot just from feeling her belly.

It might be? I also know he hates cream cheese so idk if he'd like that recipe

As for me I love lumpy mashed potatoes (I'll eat smooth but I prefer the texture of lumpy) with the skin 'cause I want all the vitamins and fiber the potato has to offer and enjoy the earthy flavor they add. I do also love cream cheese so I might try it with that

You can also use sourcream, or even whole fat greek yogurt instead of cream cheese, some people in my family like it better that way.
