Hello...

Yes, we keep them separate at night and they can run around the yard together
during the day
If they range in the yard, then as Sourland suggests, multiple feed stations will suffice - its how I integrate my birds.

Providing the victims can run away, all is well. I have 3 interconnected runs and a main coop but range my flock in my yard. I keep the youngsters in one of the runs until they are 3 months old (predator related reasons) and then open their run to the yard and put another couple of feeders out. For 15 birds I may have 4-5 feeders scattered around the yard / runs. It seems to work for me.

ETA: I let the youngsters decide to roost in the main coop of their own accord. Trying to create a facilitating environment and letting the chickens do the rest seems to work, for me at least.

Sounds like you have a huge yard :) We are in the city on about .23 acres (corner lot). We're hoping they will all be able to roost together eventually.

Not huge, no. I hope that all will be well. It’s difficult to provide specific advice in the absence of pics and dimensions - not to mention environmental variables.
