Hello! My name is Haley. We got chickens March of 2017. Right now we have 5 of them. We have 3 that were born in March 2017. A rhode island red, silver laced wyandotte, and a black sex link. We got more chicks this March. What we have left is 2 Easter eggers.
We lost 4 of our 2017 chicks to our beagle and 3 of this year's chicks to buffalo gnats.
I thought I would join this site because I always have questions about chickens and figured this would be a good place to help me out!
Other than chickens, I enjoy gardening, my 3 dogs (I have since forgiven my beagle), horses and horseback riding, and running. I also teach 2nd grade.
I am excited to join!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
Welcome to BYC!!!
Sorry for your losses
We are glad you joined our flock!
