Hi, I am Cassie, aka the Chicken Whisperer!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens for about 6 years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
14 hens and a rooster!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have Americaunas (2 hens and a roo), 1 Barred Rock, 3 Black Stars, 1 Golden Comet, 2 Blue Splash Marans, and 5 Swedish Flower Hens.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Just kind-of found it online!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I sail, surf, read, fly fish, camp, rock climb, travel, and wolf-watch.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my super cool mom and dad, a cute Chocolate Lab, and a variety of fish. We live in Carmel Valley, California near the ocean, and every summer we go to Yellowstone and Montana. My favorite type of chicken is either a Sicilian Buttercup or a Swedish Flower.
Hooray! Nice to meet you all! (Sorry about the overuse of exclamation marks; I am just really excited!)
