Well if you have chickens or are planing to get some, i think that is a good book to start out with.
My first chicken book was CHICKENS IN YOUR BACKYARD by Rick & Gail Luttmann, and that poor book is so worn out, spine coming apart, pages stained and dog eared. That was way before the internet though.
I still get it out once in a while to reference what they wrote.
