1. To commence chick raising satisfactorily, I would have a brooder arranged with chick starter, water and a heat lamp depending on the temperatures in your area. It should be at least 95 F degrees for the first week, then gradually lower it 5 degrees every week.

2. Once they have completely feathered out, transfer them to a secure coop with adequate space and ventilation. Transition them from chick starter to grower or chick starter/grower. Once they begin laying eggs they will need layer feed which enhances their supply of calcium. It is necessary for egg formation and it is what the shell is mostly composed of. Hope this helps!
