Hi everyone!! I’m excited to finally be able to introduce myself as someone who is looking after (with the help of 3 kids) our very own little flock of chickens. We have two Australorps, two Barred Rocks and two Amberlinks. We started simple and brought home week old pullets from the farm supply store. So far they’ve been hardy and healthy and absolutely wonderful to watch!! We are in Northeast Ohio so they are currently waiting out this cold moody weather in a spacious basement brooder- when it’s warm enough they like to go outside on a “field trip” to check out the yard and get some fresh air. Our border collie Harold helps keep a watch over them. They are an absolute delight, I’m formally hooked!!!
