My nan and grandad used to have chickens on their dairy farm and I have loved them since then. I work as a kitchen gardener in a large public gardener in the South West of the UK and I look after 15 Rhode Island Red chickens, 6 bantams and 2 Indian runner ducks who have just had ducklings!!!

I love their noises and characters. They are just so funny and entertaining. I have one called Yellow Legs who is an escape and always getting into trouble with my head gardener who I have nicknamed Mr McGregor as he loves to get his gun out and pop off rabbits.
