(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I think I first got chickens about 5-6 years ago so I'm not new to chickens but there is always learning to be done.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
at the moment I have 8 ex-battery (rescue) hens and one rooster. the hens range from the eldest at about 7 years old and the youngest at about 3 years old. and the rooster is about 1 and 1/2 years old
(3) What breeds do you have?
I'm not sure about the hens as they are rescue hens but the rooster is a silver laced wyandotte
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
i love watching them grow up healthy and happy and all their different personalities and behaviors
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
horse riding, reading, tennis, soccer, badminton etc.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
we have 9 chickens, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 winter white hamster (his brother has sadly passed away), 2 robo hamsters, a bunny, a horse and a fair amount of tropical fish. i have a younger brother and an elder sister
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? i have known about BYC for a while but only signed up recently
