Hi everyone! I’m am new to this hen thing. My husband and I talked about getting chickens about a year ago. Our dreams finally came true this past Sunday. We got 5 chickens from our friend. We have a run and made our chicken coop out of supplies around the house and yard (mostly out of old doors and wooden fences). We insulated it with leftover matting that someone given us. The hens seem to be happy and are continuing to lay eggs. I have been giving them treats like apples, bananas, strawberries and blueberries. How often should I be giving them treats? I don’t want to over do it.
