Hello!

 I thought it too. I didn’t want to say it, and have anyone pitching a fit.

Everything's gotta eat haha! The hubby personally is a big fan of any hens that slow down in egg production becoming soup birds. I did have to inform him that at least oneeee would be a pet. ;)

My grandparents had a cattle farm while I was growing up though, so the idea of breeding animals for food (be it mine, or say, a hawk's) is pretty commonplace to me. And at least I know they're well cared for and healthy!

Not to dismiss anyone who might be upset at the thought!

I have kept a few quail but nothing long term. I had been wanting to get my hands on some bobwhite though....

Now look what you've done! :gig:plbb

I'm one of those that has to get my meat and poultry at the grocery store where it is "manufactured". I get way too attached to all animals and birds. I do buy free range, but I'm not sure that really means anything. I wish I could be like you all, because I'd really like to know the meat and poultry I eat has a good life as long as it lives.

:thSometimes it's hard to be me.
