My name is Cynthia and I have some experience with chickens. I used to own chickens back in my childhood, but for one reason or another lost my connection to the chicken world. Although, many years passed; my love for chickens and their perky personalities never stopped and finally have a flock of my own!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Not really/ I got my RIR as a child
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 3 adults and 23 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island Reds, Dominiques, Barred Rock, Americaunas, Blue Plymouth, and mixed breeds.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their personalities!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading and taking care of my chickens.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband used to have chickens as a child as well, so we are both really happy to finally have chickens of our own. I have 3 ducks and 4 dogs. I'm a student in nursing.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC by doing research for my chickens. I've been coming to this page for the past few months, so I thought it will be the best to join.
