In the Brooder
debated even posting to this thread because im not planning on staying very long (though i might, looking around, it seems very nice here!)
my name is kamryn and im pretty young, still in highschool. me and my dad have six chickens, all easter eggers, that we've had for around 3-4 years. the hens dont have names that seem to stick with my dad besides our oldest hen Bluebell, and our rooster Rusty. we also have two goats, Bunny (my profile pic, back when we got her) and Charlotte, a dog, a gerbil, a leopard gecko, and i even have a snail named Pebble!
i joined mainly to get incubation tips because just today we received our tiny incubator (a magicfly, also lacking a humidity thermometer and auto turner, what luck :/) because the hens, although great moms in the past, are lacking in the egg-sitting department. it might be an easter egger thing? but we finally got tired of waiting and ordered one, because what better way to spend quarantine than being the mother to around 8 chicks?
so, hello to anyone who might see this, and please, if you have any tips for incubating, let me know!! i really would like to finally raise chicks myself again-
