I am in perth, australia. I got my first chicks six years ago, and ended up with five hens and a couple of lovely boys who had to go back to the breeder when they started exercising their singing voices. Why do the baby cockerels have to be the most engaging chicks? 😭

Sadly only two hens are left now, a silkie and a wyandotte. Here they are, when the silkie was keeping her broody sister company:

The wyandotte is moulting at the moment, but she has always thrown herself 100% into being broody and I'm thinking of giving her some eggs to sit on next time. To this end I'm designing a new more secure coop for them and I would love some advice, so I will post in the coop design forum in a bit!
