Er maybe this is a tad late.
I'm a new member from Westmeath, Ireland.
My flock consists of two roosters and seven hens. I love all chickens, but especially the roosters, and if I had my own way I would rescue all the roosters and battery hens I could.
I first got chickens about seven years ago when my mum 'accidentally' bought a chicken coop because she liked the look of it. We started off with three point of lays. Next year, we got day old chicks. And we've had chickens ever since. In fact, my mum and dad beg me to stop getting chickens, but it isn't as easy as that!
It's nice to meet you all
Meet Genie Weeny, one of our oldest hens. She is approximately four years old. She is our much loved broody, with a ton of character.
