I am just starting my flock with 8 birds.
3 Golden sex links
3 Wyandottes (black/brn w/gold hilites
1 Black Australorp
1 Bantam - not sure of the breed

I will be using deep litter method for bedding, finishing my coop now it's 4x6 with three nesting crates. The birds are growing fast except for one, but all are fat and happy at 2wks.

Welcome. Keep an eye on the one not growing. I started with 8 and now have 5. If any of them start getting sluggish, worm them.

I would recommend getting a bigger area for your chickies, preferably around 10 ft per bird (during the day) so that they stay happy and healthy. Best wishes!

She has 24 sq ft, isn't that enough room for 6 birds comfortably? Eight at a squeeze .... watch out for bullying though. Anyway, and welcome to BYC! Sounds like some very pretty birds!
