Hi!

After lurking for a long time I've decided to buy some chickens and join BYC.
Now I'm the proud owner of three Sussex hens. I was actually looking for some Barred Rocks but the breeder didn't have any.
So I went home with these beautiful ladies

Wish I could have more but my back yard is not large enough!

Thanks! Yes they do. I've tried to find more information online and it seems like Sussex don't usually come in the 'barred' colors. I've yet to call the breeder and ask them about it, because they sold them as Sussex. Anyhow, Sussex or not, I still really like them!
