(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

We are new chicken and duck owners as of this year!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have ten chickens and four ducks!


(3) What breeds do you have?
We have polish and barred rock (I think)!

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their little personality’s!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m a photographer!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

My husband and I are starting our little family, married just over two years. We currently have ten chickens, four ducks, two goats and two dogs. We are trying for humans as well but struggling with infertility.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I am having some duck trouble and was referred byReddit!

I had pregnancy issues, had 2 sad miscarriages before having a wonderful baby boy at 38 years of age. He is 35 now and and I am 73. Wish all the best for you :hugs:fl

I sure wish I had flamingoes but don't think they'd fare well in Northern PA (or that PA would let me have them)! I'm so glad to hear your story worked out, I have hope that God will give me a little one when it is time! :)
