I am so excited to be part of BYC!
We just bought a house over the summer, and are looking forward to chickens in the spring! Meanwhile, I'll be researching breeds, the best coop to buy or build, and soaking up all of the chicken-keeping knowledge y'all have to offer
My fiancee and I live in western NY, I have two children from my first marriage who are turning 20 and 18 in January and the baby will be 2 in March! We also have a geriatric boxer dog (she's 11), 4 cats, and a hedgehog!
My current favorite chicken breeds are orpingtons (buff or lavender), blue laced red wyandottes, and olive / easter eggers!
