We had inherited a handful of mature hens years ago when we were renting a house. Unfortunately, we had to gift them forward when the owner sold the house (Rentals in the area are tricky for pets!)

We bought a house in the Eastern Sierra, and just got a chicken palace built this summer. We got our chicks the first week of July, and they've grown up healthy as can be so far! We have 1 Delaware rooster, 2 Delaware hens, 1 Black Australorp hen, 2 New Hampshire Red hens, 1 Buff Orpington hen, and 1 Easter Egger hen.

Love our little flock. They're 20 weeks old now, fun to see them maturing.
