Hi! So I’ve been on this website for a month, but never introduced myself.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, I’m very new- I got 5 chicks in mid-November who are now almost 2 months old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 5 that are almost two months old, 3 Peking ducks, and 3 guinea fowl(s?).
(3) What breeds do you have?
I don’t for sure know what breeds my chickens are, but I’m guessing a couple Easter Eggers (yay!) and a couple barred rock mixes. I don’t know for sure though.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love opening the door to the coop and having my chickens tell me good morning.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I do a bunch of random stuff, including watercoloring, reading, and juggling.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 2 goats (hopefully more soon) and 3 dogs (Holiday the German Shepard, Loki the Silver Lab, and Oreo the Boston Terrier.)
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Well I am the kind of person who does a BUNCH of research before I do anything, so on my 5 million google searches I kept running across BYC. When I finally got the chicks, I decided to join.
