I am a new member and live in Southeast Wisconsin.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I currently do not have any but hope to soon.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None
(3) What breeds do you have?
N/A
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I am excited to be able to have fresh eggs, the natural fertilizer, and adding to my pet population.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am married to my best friend and we have two adult children together. We have 3 dogs and a cat. I teach a a private university while finishing up my masters.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC through a web search a year or so ago. I decided to join due to us looking for a new home in a community that allows urban chickens.
