In the Brooder
Hello! I am a new member from the United States. I currently have four hens, two rhode island reds, a barred rock, and an easter egger, but have had eight total. My family first got chickens from my sister's school project back in early 2019, when we got the first three, not knowing what kind they were. Unfortunately, they turned out to be cobb 700's, and we had to give them away. We then got four more in April 2019, two rhode island reds, an easter egger, and a sapphire gem. But in July 2020, a raccoon attacked the flock, nearly killing one of our RIR's. She, however, our sapphire gem couldn't handle the stress and didn't make it. In August 2020, we got a barred rock hen, literally the sweetest thing ever. That's about it! I'm excited to be here!
