Hello

Hello Deb. Welcome to BYC! We have a number of members in Maine and New Hampshire that can offer advice on keeping your birds healthy and happy through northern New England winters. Perhaps @WindingRoad can chime in.
Just remember heated coops are for fried chicken. If you want eggs don't heat your coop no matter how cold it gets here. LOL. VENTILATION is the key. If your curtains are damp or your walls frosty you need more of the above. Last winter was a dud for sure. And we broke a record today. 71F, Last April 9th we got 8-12 inches for snow between the 8th and 9th. Do like the Eskimos do insulate your coop from the outside with snow. VBG
