Hi all!! I am new to chicken ownership! My neighbors are selling their house and can't take their 2 chickens so I agreed to take them in and also added 6 chicks to the flock in March. I have an agricultural background (horses mainly) but live in a small rural town right now that thankfully allows chickens! I recently finished building the coop and I'm really looking forward to learning more from the community here, so far I'm really enjoying chicken ownership though it's definitely been a learning experience. You might want to upgrade the chicken wire with 1/2" hardware cloth. Chicken wire won't keep predators out of the coop.
