Just a generic heat lamp with a 250w red bulb. Also, do then leave the one that has hatched in the incubator until the other hatch? Will taking her out right quick cause that "shrink wrapping" humidity loss for the others? My pleasure!
When the eggs are close to hatching or past the hatching date I stop candling, and don't open the incubator at all. Opening the incubator changes the humidity and will shrink wrap the birds making it extremely hard for them to hatch. Do you already have a brooder set up? If so, what kind of heater are you using in it?
No, you can't leave her in the incubator for more than two days. Just do it as quickly as you can and they should be fine. Also, do then leave the one that has hatched in the incubator until the other hatch? Will taking her out right quick cause that "shrink wrapping" humidity loss for the others?
