What size is the coop? How many linear feet of roost space do you have?
My flock has been on wood chips for over 3 years. Never had a case of bumble foot.View attachment 2751264

My run is 8x16 (128 sf), the coop is 8x4 (32 sf), and I have 12 linear feet of roost (but currently the four that are in there all sit on 2 feet of it). I also suspect I might have a Roo or 2 I’m going to have to get rid of.

I was thinking about pea gravel or sand.
