Hi I'm new here but have been raising chickens on & off for years. I first had chickens in the early 90s when I lived out west.
Currently I have 3 flocks...
My older 9 girls are the last of my regular layers ... 2 Dorkys, 3 Blue laced Red Wyndottes, 2 Leghorns, 1 Araucauna, 1 ISA Brown
My newer girls there are 32 ...
7 Americaunas, 4 Marans, 4 Leghorns, 4 Buff Orphingtons, 4 Gold Laced Wyndottes, 4 Silver Laced Wyndottes, 4 Brahmas, 1 Americauna Roo
My third flock is 24 for sale ...
2 Americaunas, 2 Marans, 3 Leghorns, 3 Buff Orphingtons, 6 Gold laced Wyndottes, 4 Silver laced Wyndottes, 4 Brahmas
I have a few pekin ducks also. I live on a 4th generation working farm in NE Ohio. We grow soybeans & I have a large vegetable garden. Although it's lotsa worked joy, I enjoy living in on the farm. It's peaceful and rewarding to grow my own food & sell the extra vegetables.
I enjoy sewing & quilting as well as tending animals.
