I am a breeder. Every year I hatch out a few hundred chicks. I do grow them out. I keep most of the females. The hatches are pretty close to 50/50 male/female. I keep the best males as future breeders and sell the rest which helps to offset the cost of the feed. I do have some general population coops and pens just for the females I'm not going to use as breeders as egg layers as I sell eggs. After the new year I'll set up my breeding coops and pens. I'm already looking at who is going into which coop and pen for my next breeding's and watching their development. Good luck and have fun...
