(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am new, I decided to try Rent the Chicken before committing, and I realized half way through, I would never be able to give them up. I got them in May 2022.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 2 but would love to get 2 more

(3) What breeds do you have? Red Stars

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Their personalities, how they always want to be with me. They follow me throughout my property, I live on 4 acres. They free range and I’ve got them trained to come when I call.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, working on my house / property, playing music and sports.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I’ve got two dogs, and a trio of hermit crabs. I work from home, in accounting.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D Researching to find out how hard it would be to keep chickens full time. This forum has been a godsend.
