Hello!

You did great! I especially love the pumpkin eaters, and the rooster in the 6th photo!
We’re having a grand time with the pumpkins!

Also everyone in the 6th photo is a roo! In the back is BBC our oversized ayam cemani, the middle with the white hackles is Brandon Lee another ayam cemani. They both went to good homes due to their breed disqualifications! The closest one is Metal Steve our black ameraucana. He’s a shy big dork.

Yes. I should have specified, the unique rooster. Those white hackle feathers really set off his color. He is just gorgeous! The others are beautiful too. I'm a sucker for almost all roosters.

He is gorgeous! I really miss him. He would do his lil sweepy feet shuffle at us and tidbit for me. My husband really wanted to keep him but we’re basically at our max amount of roosters and he was picking on the black ameraucana so badly that he hid behind the house most of the day. He’s our breeder boy here to stay so unfortunately Brandon Lee, with no real purpose here, had to go. His tail was awesome.

I can empathize. I want to keep every rooster, but my hens do not.

My name is Reijn and I live in Ohio. I’m on the phone app so I can’t copy and paste so I’ll try to remember what it asked. This is our first year with chickens but I have raised other avians and quail before. I just finally have space for chickens. I live with my husband and our dogs. We have about 50 chickens now. Mix of brahmas ayam cemanis silkies EE/OE ameraucanas copper marans and one isa brown I think. I like to paint and my husband is a welder. Next I think we would like to have guineas and goats. Nice to meet you all!
Welcome to BYC!!
