Welcome Kai. My grandson's name is Kaiden and his Mom calls him Kai. You are already a successful chicken owner because you care about giving them the best life. It is my opinion that there are a few important things to focus on: Security - make sure your coop and run are surrounded, side walls, ceiling and an apron around the perimeter, with securely fastened 1/2 inch hardware cloth. Space: go big - bigger than you planned for the size of the coop and run. Many of us convert sheds to coops and add ventilation, roosting bars and nesting boxes. Space solves many issues and makes a happier chicken and chicken keeper. Keep it Clean keeping the coop and runs as clean as possible often can help avoid many health issues.
