hello, I'm new here, I'm curios..........Has anyone ever spread honey of anything like that in their run to attract bugs for extra protein.........

I have personally never done that. Mine get enough bugs when they are out during the day, and there are way too many wasps here in the summer for me to want to risk doing that.

Welcome to BYC!! I probably wouldn’t do that.. it would attract pests, and chickens are able to catch a lot of bugs on their own!

Yes the ants, bees, rodents, etc..would over take everything, not to mention be a sticky mess, it would not be a good idea.
