1) I am new-ish to chickens. We moved last summer and this spring we started a brand new flock from hatching eggs. They hatched in May.
2) We have 10 (9 hens, 1 rooster)
(3) Barnyard mix, 2 Lavendar Orpingtons, 1 Cream Legbar, 4 Heritage breed pullets that I just got and I am unsure of the breed.
(4) I LOVE watching them cluck around. Our hens are friend. And our rooster! I love the sounds they make and I love collecting rainbow eggs.
(5) Not much.
(6) I have 2 girls who also are interested in the chickens, but very sporadically. They collect the eggs and help ocassionally. I hopeing to sell our eggs to start savings accounts for each of them and teach them how to run a business.
