Hello, posting from VA. I first got chickens 2 years ago. Learned a lot of hard lessons at first, but pretty successful at chicken keeping now. I currently have five hens that are all different breeds. I have an Australorp, speckled Sussex, olive egger, Easter egger, and barred rock. My favorite part of keeping backyard chickens is watching their silly antics and the fresh eggs of course. They are like pets to me. I finally joined BYC after coming to these threads from google for the last couple years looking for advice. I’m excited to finally be part of the community.

Why did we wait? Best group chat you’ll join. Welcome and enjoy the craziness of all chicken lovers.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Nice introduction! Yes its unfortunate that chickens don't come with a manual so lots to learning along the way. But the birds do get you trained up pretty quick. ;)

Make yourself at home here and welcome to our community!
