We have bobcats in our area. And black bears and coyote and racoon and fisher cats and roving dogs. I have never lost a bird to a ground predator inside their 1/3 acre pen that is surrounded by electrified poultry netting powered with a 10,000 volt charger. Even a bobcat will try to stalk close to the flock, will see the net and want to sniff it. That is when they will get the jolt to the nose, do a 180 and tear off into the woods never to return. Easier meals can be found elsewhere.
