my family has had chickens for about two years but starting two weeks ago i have my own chickens
the chickens i have are all regular silkies except for two naked neck silkies, two cinnamon queens, and two black sex link
i’m not sure what my favorite aspect about raising chickens is yet cause i haven’t had too much experience. I can say that i do love watching my little chicks grow their new feathers and seeing how quickly they get bigger
some of my other hobbies are crocheting, crafting, and binge watching movies
my mom and brother say they don’t want to be involved with the chickens but they helped me build a coop for them and like to be updated on how they are doing. My dad has two red chickens and two gray ones but i’m not sure what type they are. I have three cats who want to be involved in everything.
I found out about BYC through a google search trying to find out what was going on with my chick because i constantly worry that i’m doing something wrong since it’s my first time caring for them. I decided to join the community because i saw that people here were really helpful and all very kind
